Even in the ecologically hostile environment of densely populated Brooklyn, a variety of plants grow spontaneously and sometimes even thrive. On a walk around the Garden and streets surrounding BBG, we will search out and identify plants that, though treated mostly as unwanted weeds, still provide benefits to our environment and remind us of the power and tenacity of nature.
