Weekends from April 22 to May 14, celebrate Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s glorious spring blooms and flowering trees with pop-up music and dance performances, cultural programs, workshops for kids and families, Garden tours, and more. All programs free with Garden admission. See all weekends. 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Learn and play together in the Discovery Garden. Hands-on stations throughout the garden’s meadow, woodland, and marsh habitats encourage families to explore nature alongside volunteer docents. 11–11:45 a.m. Take a journey to Haiti through the exploration of traditional games, songs, drumming, and dance movement. 12–12:45 p.m. Mike Lukshis performs a traditional classical solo on the Indian tabla drums, mixed with stories about the popular percussion instrument. 1–1:45 p.m. Buyu Ambroise & the Blues in Red Band present a fusion of jazz and Haitian rhythms. 1–2 p.m. Discover BBG’s plants and gardens in peak bloom and other highlights of the season on this tour led by a Garden Guide. Meet on Magnolia Plaza by building steps. 1–4 p.m. Direct from Coney Island, Adam Rinn will amuse and amaze you with his unusual acts and incredible feats. A true master of swords and strength! 2:30–3:15 p.m. The Harlem Japanese Gospel Choir perform their unique blend of English and Japanese singing in powerful harmony.
