Mizue Sawano’s paintings burst with color and activity. An internationally renowned artist and regular visitor to Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Sawano draws inspiration from the Garden’s cherry trees and water-lilies. This exhibition focuses on her paintings of the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden—a fitting tribute to the garden, which celebrates its centennial this year.
