Create a block-printed image inspired by the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden's centennial and the accompanying special Isamu Noguchi exhibit. Draw on linoleum and soft rubber plates, carve designs, and use water-based inks to make several prints. This class will focus on the garden's plants and landscape, drawing inspiration from art-historical examples of the medium.
