Walk the wintery grounds of BBG to learn how to identify trees, even long after their leaves have fallen. Hone your naturalist's eye for observing nature, using your senses to distinguish between different types of bark, buds, and twigs. After a short classroom presentation, the class will venture outside to explore trees commonly found in the northeast in the Native Flora Garden, as well as focusing on other interesting specimen throughout BBG. Students will learn skills not only relevant to winter identification, but for the whole year as well.
