Lightscape - Hanabi

Hanabi

Created by Pitaya
Conifer Collection

Installed among tree branches on the path between the Shakespeare Garden and Fragrance Garden, Hanabi is a grouping of 20 large filamented discs that echo the calm rhythm of nature. Programmed to illuminate through a hybrid of LED and phosphorescence, each pulses through light and color over a 3-minute cycle. Their design is inspired by species of flora and fauna that convert and store sunlight’s energy for later use.

Hanabi is a creation of Pitaya, a French creative studio that explores light and its interplay with sculptural objects.
