On January 27, New York was hit with another big snowstorm. According to the mayor's office, the storm dumped 19 inches of snow on the city by 4 a.m. Since January 1, Brooklyn has had a record-setting 36 inches of snow, breaking a record that was last set in 1925. BBG was closed for the day while the horticulture and maintenance staff worked to clear paths and check for damage. It was spectacular to see the Garden blanketed under so much pristine snow, and as the sun peeked out in the late afternoon I was able to get out and snap a few photos. The Garden is now open, so come by this weekend to experience a true winter wonderland.
