Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Native Flora Garden features ecosystems that evolved within 200 miles of New York City. There is deciduous woodland, a kettle pond, pine barrens, two different types of serpentine barrens, a wet and a dry meadow, and more. Many of the plants here were grown from seed collected nearby, which helps preserve the local ecotypes.
