BBG is proud to celebrate its centennial with 100 Years, 100 Stories, a collection of reminiscences from some of the many individuals whose passion and support have made the Garden’s remarkable 100-year journey possible.
The selection of photos and memorabilia on display in the Steinhart Gallery were gathered from BBG’s community of visitors, members, volunteers, colleagues, and staff and feature firsthand memories as well as seldom-seen treasures from the Garden’s archives.
Putting together an exhibition of 100 years’ worth of memories was no small feat. BBG staff pored over hundreds of photos and stories, scanning old prints and interviewing members for their Garden memories. Once the rough outline of the exhibit was complete, BBG’s design team went to work to bring the display alive. After roughly two weeks of painstaking installation, the exhibit officially opens to the public on Sunday, June 13, and will run through Sunday, September 5.
