Michelle Inciarrano
Michelle Inciarrano is a born-and-bred Brooklyn floral artist who enjoys creating all sorts of mixed-media plant installations.
Previously, she was co-proprietor of Twig Terrariums in Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighborhood, and used scale to create miniature worlds that are known around the world. Besides her work with Brooklyn Botanic Garden, she has been awarded Artist of the Month by the Museum of Arts and Design (August 2012), 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards at the Philadelphia Flower Show several years consecutively, and was a regular guest speaker at New York Horticultural Society and New York Botanic Garden.
Twig creations have been featured by the New York Times, Elle Decor, Better Homes and Gardens, Garden Design Magazine, Real Simple, WNYC, Country Living, Country Gardens, and more. Twig's Amazon Bestselling book Tiny World Terrariums: A Step-by-Step Guide (Stewart, Tabori and Chang, 2012) gives an in-depth look at creating microcosmic acreage.
Inciarrano volunteers with Liberty Kiwanis, an organization focused on helping underserved children, American Legion Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary. She and her fiancé share a house in Pennsylvania, three dogs and seven chickens.
