The Art and Garden Tour
Combine two of Brooklyn's renowned attractions in one visit; start with a Seasonal Highlights tour at BBG, led by our extensively trained Garden Guides. Meet the Curator Tour
Learn from a gardening expert! Experience a unique tour led by our curator of the Steinhardt Conservatory in conjunction with a Seasonal Highlights tour led by our Garden Guides. After lunch, participate in a 90-minute specialty workshop led by an expert instructor. Choose one of our seasonal workshop themes, below, and don't let snow stop you—even in the depths of winter, there's an exciting workshop for your group! Seasonal Fresh Flowers
Learn tips and techniques for creating beautiful seasonal floral arrangements in your own home. An expert floral designer will demonstrate a variety of arrangements and designs using flowers that reflect the seasons of the garden. In spring, enjoy bountiful spring blossoms. In summer, think garden parties and fresh summer favorites, and in fall get creative with abundant berries and colorful leaves. In November and December, choose a special Holiday theme for festive Thanksgiving and Christmas ideas or seasonal styles with winter evergreens, berries, and bulbs.
Creative Containers
Window boxes and container gardens make a perfect small oasis, and they are just as indispensable for any patio or home entrance. In spring,see ideas for containers with delicate blooming bulbs and the first flowers of the season. In summer, explore hot tropical combinations for striking effect, and in fall extend the season with grasses and cool-season annuals. In winter, dress up a drab scene using festive containers bedecked with winter evergreens, berries, and decorative elements. In every season, window boxes and containers are focal points for a showstopping statement!
