Brooklyn Botanic Garden Names New Vice President for Facilities Planning, Construction, and Management

Brooklyn, NY—June 20, 2008—Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) announces the appointment of Frank G. Montes to the new position of vice president for Facilities Planning, Construction, and Management. Montes will be responsible for management of all of BBG's capital projects, including the new Visitor Center and new "gardens within the Garden."

Montes brings a distinguished background in both construction and conservation. Most recently, he worked with Mitsui Fudosan America, Inc., where he was the Asset and Capital Projects Manager. Montes also has held positions with the Rockefeller Group Development Corporation and the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in art history and a master of science in historic preservation, both from Columbia University, and has professional certifications from the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI).
