In Memoriam: Gilbert Rivera
Brooklyn Botanic Garden was saddened by the passing of trustee Gilbert Rivera early in 2007. A successful restoration contractor, Mr. Rivera was the founder of one of the city's largest building-supply companies and chair of the National Hispanic Business Group.
He joined BBG's Board of Trustees in 1998 and served as an active member of the Board's government affairs and master plan committees, contributing his broad experience, good humor, and dedication to the great benefit of the Garden and the Brooklyn community.
